Fab 4 agree to sponsor Thornham CC

Thornham Cricket Club is delighted to announce we have partnered with four local businesses to allow the club to purchase some new coloured kit ahead of the 2021 season. The Commercial pub in Castleton, Southern Cross Heating and Plumbing, Forever Composite and The Phenomenal Group have all agreed to sponsor the club for the next 3 seasons. The kit will be used in First XI Cup and T20 games.

The Commercial is a pub which is based in the local village of Castleton. Peter and Joanne Kelly have owned the pub for several years and always support the cricket club when it comes to raffle prizes and the like.
The Commercial is a friendly pub with a great atmosphere – perfect for getting a good pint at a decent price from local people who really do care about their community.
Peter was a good friend of the late Sam Micklethwaite and was delighted to get involved at the club which meant so much to Sam.

Southern Cross Plumbing & Heating is owned by our very own First XI wicketkeeper Ged Walsh. Ged started his own business after a once in a lifetime trip to Australia which is where the Southern Cross connection comes from.
Ged offers various different aspects of service to cover all your heating and plumbing needs; from tap washers to full bathroom suites, radiator moves to full central heating installations.
The business also covers all domestic gas appliances and comes in at a very competitive price. Southern Cross is based out of the Middleton/Manchester area.

Forever Composite is linked to Thornham through another club contact in Simon Towler. Phenomenal Group is a Social Media, Marketing, Advertising and Branding Agency based in Bury, working with businesses of all sizes to help them unleash their true potential both online through Social Media and Google, along with traditional marketing as well as helping to create brands from the ground up, whether that be logo design, business cards, leaflets and other marketing material.
Each year we look for different sponsorship opportunities at grassroots/amateur level to support Cricket and Football clubs whether that be through advertising boards or by advertising on playing/training wear of clubs as we feel it is important for businesses to become part of clubs to help them grow whilst raising brand awareness at the same time.

The Club works very hard behind the scenes on a lot of things which never really get too much exposure, so to be able to announce a real tangible benefit to our playing members for the upcoming season is a delight.
The Commercial have long supported the Club behind the scenes, and it is nice to be able to have a visual representation of their ongoing support. My thanks go also to all the other sponsors, some of whom have a personal connection with the Club. That Ged and Simon of Southern Cross and Forever Composite respectively can see fit to support their Club financially really makes me think we must be doing something right, and I hope the partnership with Phenomenal Group proves long-lasting and fruitful to both parties.
