Dear Members,

Hopefully you all know that Thornham Cricket Club’s Annual General Meeting for 2022 will be held in the Clubhouse on Wednesday 14th December 2022 at 8pm. Invites will be going out shortly.

Prior to the AGM I wanted to remind you that as per the Club’s rules, several members of the Committee will be retiring due to it being the end of their 2-year cycle. Those individuals do however remain eligible for re-election. There is also a vacancy on Committee at present that will require filling.

All members are eligible for election to the Committee, and that process will be followed on the night of the AGM. Any member wishing to be elected to Committee will need to have their name proposed by a current member and seconded by a further member. Please ensure that you have the required proposer and seconder. Please also note that they will be required to be at the AGM.

Serving on the Committee is not to be taken lightly. There are many challenges that face our village club, and lots of hard work behind the scenes which needs doing. Please only put yourself forward if you are prepared to actively contribute.

Should you wish to be elected, in order to smoothly manage the evening, I would very much appreciate it if you could inform me beforehand of your desire to stand.
