This weekends Second XI game against Ashton scheduled for Saturday 7th August has been called off. This is due to a positive COVID 19 test involving Ashton’s 1st XI game at Droylsden last weekend which has meant all cricketing activity has to been temporarily stopped with immediate effect at Ashton, Droylsden and Denton West Cricket Clubs.

The club tried everything to arrange a friendly with another club unfortunately we were unable to do so. As a result of having no fixtures at Rochdale Road this weekend the club will be closed all weekend.

We have also made a couple of changes to our 1st XI and 3rd XI to ensure equal number of games for our players please see the team selection page of the website for the updated teams.

Everyone at Thornham supports the decision from the 3 clubs involved, GMCL and LCF and we hope everyone at Ashton, Droylsden and Denton West stays safe during this unprecedent time.
