At the time of writing you will be aware that following Government and ECB advice the GMCL has suspended cricket until the end of May 2020 at the earliest.

Should any cricket be played from that point, or a point later in the season, any league-based cricket will not be fully competitive in terms of promotion or relegation (as divisions for 2021 will be formed as intended for 2020) although there may be some Cup and/or T20 competitions with a trophy at the end.
Against this back ground the committee decided in March to withdraw the senior player subscription fees for 2020.

In its place we would actively encourage our players show their support for the club and take up the club’s social membership (£17) prior to the 31 May 2020.

This will help the club through a period where our regular income is severely curtailed and ensure our players remain members of the club and eligible for selection later in the year. When cricket does resume in 2020 match fees will be adjusted to ensure that costs (umpires, scorers, teas) are fully covered.
